Palos Verdes Extended Family Photos

These Palos Verdes extended family photos were such a pleasure to take with the Cohu family!

We photographed their session on a little trail with a cute white fence, located within an equestrian center in Palos Verdes. Palos Verdes is a peninsula off the Los Angeles metropolitan area, and it tends to stay green year-round! That’s what makes it such a great spot for family photos, especially this trail, as it’s one of the spots that has beautiful greens all year. It’s a small dirt walking trail that runs alongside horse trails, and is a relatively private area. It was a really great location for extended family photos because of that privacy and quiet that we were able to be in.

The Cohu family wore an awesome variety of shades of blue, creating a blue-gray color palette that looked beautiful against the greens of this trail. They kept their outfits simple, with just a few kiddos wearing simple stripes, and avoided other patterns. Patterns can be great in photos, but having too many different ones will clash! Especially for extended family photos, wearing different shades of blue distinguished each individual family really well from each other.
