Max! From Newborn to Wild ONE
These boy’s first birthday family photos were so much fun with the “Where the Wild Things Are” theme! (Remember that fun kid’s book? “I’ll eat you up I love you so”!)
Max was the king of the wild things for his first birthday cake smash session.
I first photographed little Max when his family came to the studio for his newborn session! He was so sweet and well-behaved throughout the whole session. You could tell that his big brother and sister absolutely adored him, too. His big brother already had a special bond with him and started picking his nose in the middle of taking sibling portraits. That’s still one of my favorite moments that makes me laugh every time I think back to that first session!
The next time I saw Max in person, after continuously swooning over the Instagram photos that his momma would post, was at his ten-month milestone session. He was a mover and a shaker, and just the happiest and most expressive little guy I’ve ever photographed. See that session here - it was the cutest.
Finally, our last and final session as a part of his baby plan was his cake smash session! I was able to photograph their entire family again for it, which was such a pleasure. We ended the session with Max’s Wild Things-themed cake smash - because this little guy is definitely the king of the wild things. His mom brought a cute ”A Wild One” banner (find similar ones on Etsy here!) and Wild Things-related attire to the park. The theme definitely stood out at Seal Beach, where we photographed their session!
The super cute & unique cake was expertly designed by Couture Cupcakery (@couturecupcakery on Instagram), a talented custom cake, cupcake, & treat designer in Long Beach that I’m lucky to work with often.
