Orange county has no shortage of stunning locations for family photos, but the Quail Hills Park (Specifically the Quail Loop Trail) in Irvine, CA is one of my personal favorites.

Recently, three families joined me at this location for some updated family portraits. Today, I want to share the different looks we were able to capture at this beautiful location. Perfect Location for Families

This family of four is always so much fun to hang out with! With two young boys, this was the perfect location to let the kids run around and explore, while still getting some great shots of the whole family.

We started at one end of the trail and worked our way down, stopping at different spots along the way. The golden hour lighting was perfection and we even caught the setting sun in some photos!

Stunning BACKDROPS year-round

The Quail Hill Trail is a hidden gem that is perfect for photos year-round and offers a variety of different settings depending on the season.

In Spring, the flowers are in bloom and it's a great place to capture some beautiful portraits. In the winter months it's much drier, but still provides a great backdrop for photos.

And it’s also a dog-friendly location, so if you're lucky enough to have a furry friend along for the shoot, they're allowed on a leash too!

The quail hills trail is located just off of Sand Canyon Rd in Irvine and is a great place to spend an afternoon exploring with the family. After your session, you could even do a guided audio tour of the area or pack a picnic lunch to enjoy.
