Bakersfield Almond Orchard Mini-Sessions | 2021
This year's Bakersfield Almond Orchard mini-sessions were a huge success!
This almond orchard we hosted the sessions in is about a 2.5-3 hour drive from northern Orange County. Many of my clients look forward to this time of year, because it's when the blossoms are at their peak beauty! The blossoms usually start to bloom in mid-February, and last through around mid-March. This year, they started in late February, and they were just starting to get into their peak bloom the weekend of our mini's. The timing worked out perfectly 🙌🏼
The location we used is definitely not a hidden location, so keep that in mind if you want to visit it. There are a lot of photographers that shoot there and visitors - Friday was the least busy, and Saturday had lots more foot traffic while I was there. Even though it gets busy, I love the location because it still feels semi-private for my clients!
For this year's mini's, I had seven awesome families join me! I also photographed my daughter in the orchards to test out the location and lighting before everyone else arrived, and she loved it! It's such a fun, magical place for kids to explore. 🌸
I not only had family sessions during this round of mini's, but many more! I photographed grandparents, children, and maternity photos, too. I love mini's because I get to photograph a variety of people at different stages of their lives - thank you to all my wonderful clients who joined me this year!
