Making the most out of quarantine

Photographing sessions during a time of uncertainty along with sanitizing groceries was never something I ever thought would be part of my reality 6 weeks ago. I am a non essential business so things have come to a screeching halt like so many other businesses around us. I came across an article about a photographer in New Jersey who was offering front porch sessions in exchange for donations. News carried fast and so many photographers jumped on board to give a little joy back to families as well as community and I am so lucky that I have been able to document this history for our local families.

I decided that I would start the sessions and focus on Long Beach and Seal Beach. We practiced social distancing and all sessions were photographed from over 6+ feet away. I have photographed 37 families thus far. All who have donated towards the front steps project. My goal is to use the money to support family owned restaurants in the community to feed our senior citezens and first responders. I can’t wait to share where and how the money will be used. Here is a little sneak peek into the sessions. Every family is different and so is every doorstep but seeing everyone, hearing your stories and how your families are coping just shows me how much we are alike in this pandemic. We really are all in this together. Thank you for being part of something that will forever be so special and unique to our generation.

Check back soon for an update. We have something special planned for easter!!
