Lets talk locations. Lately I have had a lot more inquires from families looking for something new and unique. I feel like a lot of families think they only have the option to photograph at the beach or the park. I wanted to share this beautiful location that just opened in Long Beach. It is a unique backdrop to Long Beach but it is also such a fun place to visit and hang out. My family and I have visited several times and still haven’t done all of the things they have to offer. We always have to end our visit with a trip to Tuesdays for a sweet treat.
2nd & PCH sits at the gateway between Orange County and Long Beach, one of the most highly desirable areas in the region. With tremendous visibility on the corner of the iconic Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street there are more than 100,000 car trips passing the intersection daily.
The center is destined to become the social hub and community gathering place with its spectacular views and enviable setting directly across from Alamitos Bay and the Long Beach Marina. The coastal contemporary architecture and outdoor living areas invite guests to stay, enjoy the view, and relax, with Wi-Fi, fire pits, water features, lush landscaping, dedicated bicycle lanes and hospitality focused amenities. - Sourced directly from 2nd & PCH
So you might be able to bribe the kiddos with candy after the session but if you want to make a day out of it there is some great dining. I haven’t yet tried all of the dining options but we have been to Shake Shack and one of our family favs is Ola Mexican Kitchen. They have the best chips and salsa not to mention mouth watering margaritas. TIP: We will photograph before sunset so make sure to get a reservation and request a sunset view!
If you want something unique, rustic, modern, clean, classic or colorful. This location has so much variety to see and do. Feel free to dress up or keep it casual and whatever style suits you will be complimented perfectly by the art and textures around this venue.
When we photograph I do my best to stay respectful to everyone else around us. I try to photograph in areas that are not busy with guests so that we don’t bother others and we don’t have photobomers in all of our images. Some locations will have people in them but just be flexible and patient and I guarantee we will get the shots we want.
Is this the location for you? Feel free to reach out any time and we can discuss options. Permits may be required. So we would need a couple weeks to contact management for permission to photograph.
